He had one installed in a Baja Bug he drove daily that blew ice cubes! He told me he was doing an all new under dash unit that didn't hang down as far in the passenger side foot well (with a new, modified glove box liner) and would not require you to "cut down" a center console to install it. The actual compressor mount is already done, as he installs the same unit on bay window busses w/type 4 motors. I think the compressor actually resides below the engine sheet metal, so you won't have to hack up the engine shelf."
