Note: This kit is for the off roader with the condenser higher in the front end and less chance of damage. Some fabrication is necessary to install depending on the kind and manufacturer of your baja kit. We supply the mounts to mount the condenser to the beam but the filler plate above the condenser assembly will need to be trimmed to fit their particular baja front fiberglass center section.

This model uses the Black Textured Under Dash Unit which can be painted to match the color of your dash. This kit retains the use of your crankshaft pulley, and a single fan belt or you can use a serpentine belt system of your choice The crank pulley choices are completely up to you, either stock or aftermarket aluminum, or serpentine.
The Evaporator Unit is rated at approximately 13000 BTU and will exchange approximately 290 cubic feet per minute. The Evaporator and Condenser Assemblies are KEY in how much heat the AC System can remove from the interior of your car!

** Note** In order to use the serpentine a/c unit, you must already have a serpentine belt system installed in the car. We provide the compressor with the serpentine pulley, and the belt for it. The rest must already be installed in the vehicle.
Installation:
You do not need a machine shop or a fully equipped garage to install this kit, normal hand tools, a couple hole saws, and an electric drill are all that's needed! You only need to drill Five (5) holes through the body, Four (4) for the A/C Hoses, and One (1) for the Evaporator Drain Hose. These kits use environmentally friendly R134A Refrigerant, and use a modern rotary A/C Compressor, for minimal vibration and power loss. In fact, these compressors take approximately 1.2 to1.5hp to drive at full output! This means that even the meager 1200 cc or 40hp VW Engine will be able to drive this compressor, so you can drive your beloved VW in the heat of Summer without having to always bring a change of clothes with you!
