Installation: You do not need a machine shop or a fully equipped garage to install this kit, normal hand tools, a couple hole saws, and an electric drill are all that's needed! You only need to drill Five (5) holes through the body, Four (4) for the A/C Hoses, and One (1) for the Evaporator Drain Hose. These kits use environmentally friendly R134A Refrigerant, and use a modern rotary A/C Compressor, for minimal vibration and power loss. In fact, these compressors take approximately 1.25 to1.5hp to drive at full output! This means that even the meager 1200 cc or 40hp VW Engine will be able to drive this compressor, so you can drive your beloved VW in the heat of Summer without having to always bring a change of clothes with you!
***Note: When using Dual Weber style carbs it is necessary to replace the stock mechanical fuel pump with an electric model. Also on the kadron style carbs change to pivot or twist linkage.
